The Amherst Stadium was built in 1959 after a fire that destroyed the Bailey Arena. The Amherst Stadium is a multi-purpose facility serving people from all over Cumberland County. Its vintage structure makes for a great atmosphere for any event that takes place. In 2008 the facility underwent a major renovation replacing the ice surface floor slab, heating system, dressing room upgrades, office and lobby space. Again in 2018 there were more upgrades completed which included new rink board system, WIFI, sound system, and a compressor overhaul. The Amherst Stadium is equipped with a meeting space, media room, music room, 5 dressing rooms and a very popular walking track. The ice surface is 96’ x 196’ and has a capacity of 2200.
